Q: Who can enter the ANA Genius Awards?

A: The ANA Genius Awards are open to both Brand Marketers (who are ‘client-side’) as well as any business entity that does marketing analytics on behalf of their organization, other than Vendors, Suppliers and Agencies. For the first time, agencies and vendors will be permitted to submit a Genius Awards entry on their brand client’s behalf. 

Q: When does the entry period end?

A: Entries STARTED by June 29 had until July 7 to finish

 

Q: Does my company need to be a member of ANA to participate?

A: No, membership is not required.

 

Q: Can client marketers enter without being nominated?

A: Yes! Once a brand representative has signed up and created an account, they can enter one or multiple data & analytics categories.

Q: Is there a fee to submit?

A: No, there is no fee to submit.

Q: Can we submit more than once?

A: You may submit your marketing analytics program in all four categories. However, you can only submit once per category and can be recognized as a winner in only one category.

Q: What formats are required for submission?

A: You have the option to submit your entry in writing or for the first time via video OR both.

Q: Can vendors and/or agencies submit on behalf of clients?

A: Agencies and vendors are invited to nominate their clients and work with them on their submission materials. Actual submission must be by the client and all communications with the award organizer must be with the client. Participating brands can recognize their agencies and vendor partners in their submission materials.

Q: Are we required to donate the prize money?

A: Yes. Each Grand Prize winner must nominate a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to receive a pro rata portion of a $100,000 donation made by Neustar.

Q: We have a lot of confidential information tied to our analytics programs. Are we required to release details in order to participate?

A: We understand the proprietary nature of your analytics projects. There is no need to offer up specific details about your proprietary methods. Additionally, you are welcome to use directional numbers or other approximations that represent achievement without compromising sensitive information.

NOTE: There is no requirement to disclose confidential information. Numbers and labels can be altered to preserve confidentiality. As part of our review, we may request to follow up for verification from a senior officer of your company.

Q: How is the prize pool distributed?

A: The $100,000 prize pool will be divided amongst the winners for donation to a charity of their choice.

Q: When do the finalists video interviews take place?

A: A video interview of each finalist company is required and will be shot from late July to mid-August. Video participants include the CMO and key analytics team members. See finalist videos from 2019.

Q: Who must attend ANA Data & Measurement Conference?

A: At least one representative (VP or VP+) from each finalist company must attend the ANA Data & Measurement conference and ANA Masters of Marketing conference in order to be recognized. ANA will provide each finalist company with one complimentary registration. Additional registrations can be purchased.
